ABRY announces investment in Country Road Communications

ABRY invested approximately $20 million into Country Road Communications and committed an additional $50 million to fund future acquisitions. Country Road is the dominant wireline phone service provider for selected rural communities in Maine, California and West Virginia, servicing approximately 33,000 access lines. The rural local exchange business enjoys predictable recurring revenues, high barriers to entry, high operating leverage, attractive cash flow characteristics, and minimal customer churn.

The company is led by a seasoned management team with extensive telecommunications experience from AT&T, Verizon and Bell Labs.
