Thomson Medical Education Acquired by ABRY Partners, Renamed KnowledgePoint360 Group

April 23, 2007 (BOSTON) -- Thomson Medical Education, a leading worldwide provider of medical communications services and accredited continuing medical education, has been acquired by ABRY Partners, LLC, from the Thomson Corporation and has been renamed KnowledgePoint360 Group, LLC.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

KnowledgePoint360 Group serves the global pharmaceutical industry through such renowned and trusted business units as the Gardiner-Caldwell Group, Professional Postgraduate Services, Physicians World, Scientific Connexions, Physicians World Speakers Bureau, Acumed, Geomed, and Interphase. It is headquartered in Secaucus, N.J., with additional offices in Macclesfield and London, U.K.; Newtown, Pa., New York, Chicago, and Santa Clara, Calif.; and Mannheim, Germany.
